I haven't observed any dramatic increase in my electric bill either. My only complaint is the auto-defrost feature. It does auto-defrost and collect the water in a reservoir that is supposed to evaporate by the heat of the compressor. But in my property apparently it did not get hot enough due to the fact it did not evaporate and more than flowed in the back and spilled out onto the floor behind the unit. Now I just keep an eye on it and use a sizeable syringe to remove the water if the reservoir fills up.

Unit arrived undamaged and worked correct out of the box. Door was assembled a bit crooked and overall quality is mediocre but looks excellent from a distance. Have had it about five weeks now and it is doing its job- drinks remain sufficiently cold, fantastic capacity, internal fan helps a lot (main reason I bought it) and is quiet adequate in my family members space adjacent to my property theater setup. Stopped operating as soon as for some unknown purpose (possibly got a bit hot as I have it installed in a tight cabinet space- IFU clearly says it is designed to be absolutely free-standing) but following unplugging and letting it sit for 30 mins, it began up once more and has been fine ever due to the fact. I check the external cabinet temp on a regular basis and although it does get very warm to the touch, it appears to be okay installed as is. I genuinely like iced apple juice, but the ice was melting just before I ever completed my drink. I was going by means of apple juice like crazy, but never definitely drinking much of it. I purchased this private fridge to cut down on wasting apple juice (do not like it all watered down from melted ice). It works so nicely, that I can fill a 12oz glass with juice, place in a few cubes of ice, and seven hours later, the ice has not melted. Feel about it...seven hours! If I leave a glass of ice and juice out for 30 minutes, the ice has melted down to small bitty bits and the juice is too watery.
I utilised the "Mastercool MSC52224A Infrared Thermometer in Case with Free MSC52220 Analog Thermometer" that I purchased from Amazon to check the temperature overall performance. The manual for the mini fridge says that it is capable of cooling to 32 (deg F) below ambient. I checked it on a hot day, a warm day, a cool day, and a lot of instances between implementing the digital IR thermometer and it is consistently 32-45 degrees cooler inside the fridge than the outside temperature. Even on a 90 degree day the ice did not melt and I didn't have to replace my drink. The inside temperature at the warmest spot was consistently hovering about 45 to 47 degrees (F). My drink was at around 36 to 38 degrees, depending on where I measured it.
On the days that were around 70 degrees, this fridge read temperatures close to freezing. In fact, I was amazed when I pulled out a frosty glass of apple juice. It occurred only when, but nevertheless...worth mentioning.
I feel the trick to obtaining this to work optimally is to deliver a variety of inches of space for the back end where it vents out the heat. I utilised the thermometer there as nicely- the vent on either side exhausts at about 90 degrees (F) but at a low volume so it is not really useful as a space heater.
The unit runs quiet- particularly quiet. It comes with each an AC adapter, and a DC lighter-socket adapter for the car. The power switch has 3 positions- Off (middle) to the ideal is 110AC, and to the left is 12VDC (car). There is a single green LED to indicate ON operation, there are two warm air exhausts on every single side at the rear, and two cool air intakes- one at the back plate, and a single on the leading at the aft finish. I have not had to waste a glass of juice considering that it was watered down considering that working with this unit- for that, 5 stars quickly.

I bought this unit on sale at Best Order for $79.99. I was especially skeptical about the quality for the value, but with the large game subsequent weekend I could not resist.
I stopped by BevMo on my way home. This unit ONLY utilizes Beertender compatible kegs. So far, only Heinekin, Heinekin Light, and New Castle are on the market for this machine. If you do not like any of those beers, skip it.
Fortunately, BevMo had the Heinekin and New Castle minikegs in stock, but it was not cold.
I brought it all household and started to set it up. It was Particularly Straight forward. The directions are all illustrated with written directions a couple pages later.
Items I did not know before set up:
1) It takes specific "BeerTender Tubes". I did not know about these until I started setting it up. I looks like you can only use them one particular time. There were 6 included with purchase. It looks like replacements are offered on Amazon for $9 for 6 tubes.

Consumer Evaluations

Decided to take a chance on this model in spite of the negative evaluations for it. The size was excellent for our use... road trip with a 1.5 year old. It simply stored a gallon of milk, yogurt packs, orange juice, cheese, grapes, snacks, and so on. Purchased with the AC adapter to provide cooling at night when we stayed in hotels. Worked terrific as expected, though the construction seemed to be a small flimsy and low-cost.
On the 4th or 5th day of use the cooler stopped working consistently. Didn't perform when plugged into a single of our car power ports. Plugged it into yet another one, and it began working once more. Got to the hotel that night, and plugged it into the AC adapter. Once more, it just did not perform, although the adapter was indeed supplying power.
I am not very certain if our concern was the fan (which appears to be a common problem) or the power plug regardless of the result in, this became an extremely pricey non-powered cooler a lot sooner than I'd expected. Returned to Amazon for a refund, and I will probably steer away from this brand in the future.
An additional issue: if you use the AC adapter, the DC plug which connects to the AC adapter get really hot! I truly burned myself on my arm right after unplugging it.
